The Cougar
We were laying down on the beach beside a large rock formation waiting for Vancouver Island Coastal Wolves. It was early morning and we were droopy eyed, staring off into the distance when we saw something walking toward us. At first we thought it was a wolf, then I thought deer, but it ended up being this beautiful Cougar hunting or using the beach to cover ground easier. Once it finally realized there were a couple photographers watching, it paused, let us take a few photos, and silently slipped into the forest. This memory is my favourite wildlife encounter to date, and probably will be for a long time.
